(A) Your rating of the Dayara Bugyal trek and the experience: Out of 5(5 being the highest, 0 being the lowest) 5 stars (B) Things you loved, liked and didn’t like about the trek? It was a well organized trek. The guides, helpers were all experienced. The food was great. Kudos to Mr. Hukum chinwan who kept us happy & healthy by his culinary skills. Satya….Mr.Satyajeet sing is the person who made this trek a memorable one. The inputs & guidance given by Mr. Biala, Tapas, Susheel & his father was worth mentioning. Never felt out of place or insecure or anything. End of the day I felt it is the wonderful decision I have taken & came for this trek. (C) As a first timer trekking in Himalayas how did you feel about the trek? At the very outset starting from Deharadun to Uttarkashi to our base camp Barsu….it was a mesmerizing journey with mighty mountains & lovely river Bhageerathi following us thought. Thehry reservoir area on the way was breath taking with beautiful scenery. Our trek plan was to Dayara bugyal & we encountered all seasons like rain…hail stone….sunshine. Snow fall started @ 11am & ended by 3am in the night. Thanks in tons to Mr.Satyajeet sing & his team who kept us comfortably even in that adverse weather. We camped @ Barnala that day. One of the happiest moment in my life was that day @ 3am….fully snow covered mountains…trees…tents…ground & silvery moon on the bright sky….it’s like a dream land…true sense it is DEV BHOOMI. There was a heavy rain one day so we could go to Mukbha, Gangamatha temple, pandukeshwar temple with small trek….it was a blessed opportunity on our journey. I never felt I am a first time trekker at all (D) Any recommendations for those planning to undertake this trek? Fitness: Physical as well as mental fitness most required & it is your attitude towards the situation, as our cook Hukuma chinwan says: Bombay ka passion & pahadi ka moussam koyi b predict nahi kar sakthe. 2. There should have been an interaction with the local people, with their culture & beliefs & their life style |

(A) Your rating of the Dayara Bugyal trek and the experience: Out of 5(5 being the highest, 0 being the lowest) 5 stars (B) Things you loved, liked and didn’t like about the trek? I can't think of anything because from the resort to food to guides everything was taken care off. The cook was super amazing and infact the entire staff was very courteous. Though I am back from the hills and its almost a week but I feel I have left behind my heart and mind amidst those beautiful meadows😍 (C) As a first timer trekking in Himalayas, how did you feel about the trek? Being a first time trekker, the 2day long trek was full of learning & new experiences in the wilderness. Every step that I took just made my belief of never giving up and building up this new passion! There are 2 or 3 things that will probably come to anyone's mind while doing trekking for the first time (especially when we reach the top): 1. I wish i could keep walking and this trail never ends. 2. I wish i didn't have to go back to the city. i want to live here. 3. In short, if you ever wondered why people get 'infected' with high-altitude enthusiasm and keep going back to the hills every year, you will find your answer right here! ! (D) Any recommendations for those planning to undertake this trek? Buckle up trust My Himalayan Adventure!! You are good to go :) !! |

A) How would you rate the Dayara Bugyal trek and experience: Stars out of 5(5 being the highest, 0 being the lowest) 5 Stars B) Things you loved, liked and didn’t like about the trek I loved the fact that everything is organised seamlessly. There were no questions or doubts anywhere, things just happened in a very natural manner. Of course that helps when you are in the mountains and everything else is very peaceful. I liked the food, I liked how we were all taken care of and checked on. What I didn't like about the trek is "me" because no matter how healthy you think you are, you cannot compete with the mountain people when it comes to trekking. C) As a first timer trekking in the Himalayas, how did you feel about the trek? I think as a first timer its a great experience, just the fact that life could be so good away from the city, the phones and electricity, the trek was actually an excuse to get away from everything but I think I quickly realised how important it was for me to realise that how we lead such unhealhthy lifestyles and we must work on it. Seeing these people run up the mountains so quick only gave me a sense of how we ought to be and what we're not doing right. I think its been a great learning experience and I'd like to do more treks. D) Any recommendations for those planning to undertake this trek Take it slow, be easy on yourself. Its not a competition. you'll all get there in your own time. sometimes its just great to stop in the middle of nowhere and look at the view, not click it but feel it. |

(A) Rating of the Dayara Bugyal trek and the experience: Out of 5(5 being the highest, 0 being the lowest) 4 stars (B) Things you loved, liked and didn’t like about the trek: The planning of the trip was done very well, thanks to Tapas. He changed the trek route a couple of times to suit our requirements. We are so glad that we finally picked this trek because it gave a taste of everything; the forest, the meadows, and the snow capped mountains. The best part about the trek was that we barely saw any other trekkers on our way. So we felt like we had the mountains all for ourselves. We also experienced rain, hail and snow on the way which made the trek more exciting. I can’t think of anything I didn’t like about this trek. (C) As a first timer trekking in the Himalayas how did you feel about the trek: Although the trek is rated for beginners, one should be very prepared and in good physical condition as climb is very steep at some points. As a first timer I was mesmerized at the beauty of the surroundings and now can’t wait to go back. (D) Any recommendations for those planning to undertake this trek: As I mentioned before, please ensure that you are in good physical condition and start working out if you haven’t already. |

(A) Rating you would give to the Dayara Bugyal trek(Stars out of 5 with 5 being the highest and 0 being the lowest) 5 stars (B) Things that you loved, liked and didn’t like about the trek? Things i loved about the trek are: 1. A very very well planned and cordinated trek. 2. A superb guide(Rajesh) the trek seriously wouldn't be this good if it was not rajesh guiding us all through! He had an excellent knowledge of the place and was a very well trained guide. 3. The experience of campaigning in the meadow of the Garhwal Range 4. Excellent food served in the most remotest place!! Kudos to the cooks 5. The trek was organized at a good price because that's what matters at the end. Value for money The only thing i didn't like about the entire trek was that neither the guides nor the other locals accompanying were disposing off the waste properly. We camped at two places and at both the places there was plastic waste left behind. (C) As a first timer trekking in the Himalayas, how did you feel about the trek(if you are a first timer)? Though this was'nt my first trek, i enjoyed every bit of the climb to bakra top, which is the highest point of Dayara Bugyal. The trek is a leisure climb from the base camp that is Barsu to the top. Nature at its best. The 360 degree view of the entire Garhwal Range is worth capturing. At some places you just stand and stare at the gorgeous snow clad himalayan mountains. Worth every metre that we climbed. Thank you My Himalayn Adventure will be coming back for more!!!!! (D) Any recommendations for those who are planning to undertake this trek? The best season to visit would be oct-nov if you want to experience the snow or else for the meadows the best time to visit is may. Just call Tapas and blindly leave for Dayara, he will take care of the rest. |

Things We Liked: Systematic arrangements, Great locations, Good food, Friendly Guides Things We Disliked: Cant think of any... (C) As a first timer trekking in the Himalayas, how did you feel about the trek? It felt great to be a part of the trek. We went to Dayara Bugyal for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our request to go further from our targeted camping site, to the top was heeded and supported by the guides which was very pleasing. (D) Any recommendations for those planning to undertake this trek? Make sure you're carrying the right stuff to wear for the trek. It's crucial. Also, as the weather there is unpredictable, please carry rain wear too. |

Please bear that in mind while planning.. |

(A) Rating of the Dayara Bugyal trek and the experience: Out of 5(5 being the highest, 0 being the lowest) 4 stars (B) Things you loved, liked and didn’t like about the trek? Likes - the route and the mountainscape Dislikes: - 7 hour ride from Dehradun to Uttarkashi, - Was expecting camping in tents but didn’t happen throughout the trek except for one day - Was expecting slow and easy trek but had to cover the distance of two days in one day (C) As a first timer trekking in the Himalayas, how did you feel about the trek? As a first timer to this trek to Dayara Bugyal, I was enthralled with the beauty of the place. However, if the weather had been good would’ve enjoyed even more. (D) Any recommendations for those planning to undertake this trek? - April - early May is not a good time for first timers and novice trekkers because of the weather - Walk at a slow pace and do not try to cover short distances in one day - Try to soak in the local culture. Interact with the villagers and if get a chance stay for a day there and eat the home-cooked food. |

(A) Your rating of the Dayara Bugyal trek and the experience: Out of 5(5 being the highest, 0 being the lowest) 5 stars (B) Things you loved, liked and didn’t like about the trek? LIKES · Spectacular scenery, beautiful weather (we experienced it all - sunny days, starry nights, snow, rain, hailstones), Overall fabulous & unforgettable experience which will remain etched in our minds. · Not too difficult trekking sessions, tailor made program, no cell phone coverage, cut-off from civilization. · Friendly & responsive support staff and guide, great food, well managed event & logistics. DISLIKES · Jeff has touched on the issue of the drivers, so no need to discuss that any more – just that those idiots will get themselves & some others into a serious accident sooner or later if they continue to drive the way they did (Also they have terrible choice in music… Yahoo Honey Singh.. crazy!!),, so would be better to dump them for some more experienced drivers. · Dayara and Barnala were both littered in some places with rubbish from older campsites and sadly we only contributed to it. It would have been great had all our non-bio degradable rubbish been carried back from those pristine mountains (we would have not minded paying for an extra mule/person to carry our rubbish back) (C) As a first timer trekking in the Himalayas, how did you feel about the trek? · I have already given you a fair indication of our experiences in my “likes”. Those mountains gave us a chance to challenge ourselves, build our character, conquer our individual goals and revel in the moment ( I hope Jeff sent you the photo of us at the Bhakaria top to illustrate what I mean) So if it was Abhinav’s pudding eating ability, Shrenik’s capabilities, Nikita’s determination or Jeff’s resolve – this trek gave us all a change to discover it all. (D) Any recommendations for those planning to undertake this trek? · Carry along baby wet wipes (for those who are a bit uncomfortable with the idea of using dry pit toilets). You could add this into your advisory :)) · Carry along water purification tablets for those with sensitive tummies. · The trek should be classified as ‘easy to moderately difficult’ and is really not too hard to complete. From Dayara Bugiyal, climb the nearby mountains for incredibly beautiful views of the surrounding peaks. · Please try and carry back as much rubbish / garbage of your own from these heights. |
